Pretty in Pink

Hi my crafting friends, this card was made at the request of a friend for her nan's 80th birthday. I hope she likes it. The background for the card was made by embossing a piece of pearlised card with a Spellbinder embossing folder and was mat and layered onto the card. The flowers were hand made after cutting out each of the petals and stamens with a Sissix  flower from a baby pink pearlised pape,  then, using Spectrum Noir pens, I coloured the center of each of the petals with a darker shade to give them more depth and once the flowers were formed and dried, I added pearls to the centre of some to add a bit of extra bling. The butterfly was cut using a Spellbinders Papillion die and I generally use three layers of paper for each butterfly to give more dimension. The top layer of the butterfly was made from the same pearlised paper I made the flowers with and I also used it behind the Gazebo so it tied in with the rest of the card. I used "Word" to type the Text for the 80th birthday sentiment onto plain paper and used a spellbinder label die to cut it and emboss it. Once it was cut out, I shaded the edge in a baby pink to match the rest of the card.
 Thanks for looking. Regards Wendy

Honey Bee

I just love Bees and couldn't resist this stamp when I went to the craft Fair in Cariff last month. It is from a company called "Chocolate Baroque". To make the card I coloured some cream card stock around the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks, scattered straw and aptly chosen wild honey. I  then stamped over it using the honey comb and fox glove image stamps but with the antique linen coloured ink and added a few random bees with the wild honey ink. Once the card was dry I finally stamped the beehive image over the top but in black ink to make it a more defined image. This was then placed behind a frame cut with the Spellbinders nestabilities card creator A2 filigree die and layered onto a pearlised card that had been embossed with a Spellbinders embossibility butterflies and flowers folder. I then completed the card with some flowers cut from a Marianne fower die and added the "Honey Bee" sentiment. Inside the card read "Your the Bees Knees, Happy Birthday". Hope you like it.. White on White

Morning my crafty friends, Hope you had as lovely a weekend as we did. Our son and his family came to stay for the weekend and as my husband is retiring tomorrow after 42 years service we decided to get as many of our children together with some other relatives to have a small celebration and we had fun filled time watching the antics of our three granddaughter's playing together. It was lush... No time for crafting though but here is another card I made in the white on white collection of bereavement cards. They were made with a selection of dies by spellbinders and Sissix. Thanks for looking  Have a great day...

Wedding Shoe

Hi everyone, this card was another white on white but I used a Marianne die to cut out the shoe which is very pretty and works well with Spellbinders Papillion dies and I love the simplicity and crispness of the card and hope you do too. I will add a sentiment late as I am debating on whether to make it an engagemnt card or a wedding one.Regards Wendy x

In Sympathy

Hi again my friends, this card is made along th same lines as the previous one I posted using Spellbinders dies to cut out the layers and also for embossing the pearlised card and finished it with a bereavement sentiment printed onto paper using microsoft word and then cuttingit out with a Spellbinders label die. If you require exact information of the dies used please ask. Regards Wendy x

The Gate

Hi my Crafty Friends, well it was a dismal day here in Cardiff with rain the order of the day so after taking our granddaughter to school I just had to continue on my white on white card theme. For this car I used a gate die from Spellbinders and layered it onto some pearlised card that I had embossed with an M-bossibility folder also from spellbinders. I added my favourite pa pillion butterfly from the Spellbinders range and added a bit of bling with a small clear glass pearl. I will add a sentiment at a later date as this card could be used as wedding, engagement or a bereavement card so I will see what occasion arises and adapt it accordingly. I hope you have a good Friday and enjoy your weekend. Regards Wendy x

Simply cream

Hello Friends, Here is another cream card that I made by using a spellbinder embossing folder to give this deeply etched effect. I then gave the surface some shine by rubbing it with a shimmer wax and it gave it a luxurious finnish. The flower was made with a selection of flower dies and then adhered to the card with foam squares to give it more dimention. I have yet to add a sentiment on the front but havent decided on whether to use it as a sympathy card or for another occasion. Regards Wendy x

Church Window

Hi Again, this evenings card is another cream and white card. I embossed the background onto pearlised card stock and  then layered it with a spellbinders die cut layer. I adhered the church window to it and then added the flourishes, a butterfly and a small bow to complete. If you would like any further information on the dies used please message me. Have a lovely evening. Regards Wendy x

Gazebo

Hi my crafting friends, this is todays card which I made from cream and white card and paper stock. The gazebo and flowers were from spellbinders dies and I used a textured paper behind the gazebo to give a different background and I was pleased with the effect. The butterfly was cut out with a spellbinders papillion die on to some shrink plastic and then heated, the result was a tiny plastic butterfly which I added to the front of the card. I finished the card with a "Love " sentiment topper. Hope you like it. Any quetions please message me. Regards Wendy x

Christening

Hi my crafting friends, sorry for not posting anything on my blog lately but we have been holidaying in beautiful Austria and on our return had lots to catch up on. The garden had over grown and we wanted to catch up with family and friends. I was asked if I would make a christening card  by a friend for her Grand daughter but forgot to take some pictures of it to post here, so I have made a similar one. It was made  using a combination of Spellbiner and Sissix dies together with Pink and white card stock.I hope you like it. Please post a comment .

Anyone got the right time?

Hello friends, sorry for not posting anything on my blog page but we are on a trip around Austria at the moment. So here are a few pictures to give you a flavour of our trip. However its been non stop rain for the past 5 days and a lot of areas we hoped to visit today were unsuccessful due to roads being closed and rivers breaking their banks. It is still spectacular scenery despite the weather though....
